I never really know what I'm gonna get with a guy's senior session. Let me be honest. They usually come to their senior session begrudgingly, out of obligation to mom. But they ALWAYS leave with a big smile on their faces telling me that it wasn't so bad. Hey, as a mom of boys, I'll take that as a compliment!
I love when mom calls me later to tell me what a good time her son had and how she enjoyed just getting to have a rare day by herself with him. It just doesn't happen enough as they get older and especially during senior year.
Evan was no different than any other guy we've had come into the studio for their senior pictures. As much as we try to explain the senior portrait process he didn't really know what to expect, and getting up early to take pictures is not on the top of a boy's priority list. All that said, we goofed off and laughed the entire time. We started off at a local Forsyth County park and ended up at some very friendly local businesses on Browns Bridge Road.
It was a cold, but beautiful day here in North Georgia. We had to get some cool shots in that gray suit and red power tie with his Dodge Challenger and had some gorgeous blue skies out by Lake Lanier for those images.
Evan is funny, smart, kind and hard working. He's played football since he was a little boy and has had an awesome high school football career at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. So we just had to get some in his hoodie! I can't wait to see what he does as he continues on to play in college at Air Force.
When I asked mom what she hoped we would capture from Evan's session she told me "his true personality and what it was like to be 18". I feel pretty strongly that we did that for her :)
Evan, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your senior year. I hope you'll look back on these images with pride one day when you talk to your own little ones about that cool car and the glory days of high school football. You're pretty awesome.
